The Villages in the Aure and Louron valleys of Pyrénées2vallées / P2V

At an altitude of 930 m, on the road to the Col d'Azet from Bourisp or SaintLary-Soulan, Sailhan is known for having restored, with Estensan, the Mousquère mill. This medieval site, so often visited, will delight heritage lovers as well as simple walkers. It is possible to discover the milling of yesteryear through a guided tour (reservation on site). But also, it is the occasion to have a picnic in an arranged framework (the space being accessible for all and with the standards handicap in force), to benefit from the barbecue and the calm rocked by the torrent of Mousquère which flows below. Families, prepare your hiking bags

Don't miss the neo-gothic church (19th century) Saint-Laurent, with a permanent exhibition of old photographs open every day from 9am to 6pm. You can also discover a washhouse and frescoes representing a scene from the past with women washing clothes and the fountain with its stepped basins.

At the level of the shoeing loom on the path to the Pi, note the beautiful frescoes representing another scene of yesteryear with men of the village in the past as well as a belvedere with a panoramic view to appreciate the raptors. Media library open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 4.30 to 6.30 pm.
