The most beautiful beginners' area in the Pyrenees
You have long imagined your first glides on fresh snow. Falls? Crazy laughter? Adrenaline as you gain speed? Yes, you will experience all this well. 5 wide slopes in the middle of the trees await you to learn at your own pace, without the risk of meeting the experienced riders. The large beginners' area of Val Louron has 2 dedicated lifts. With the 4-seater chairlift, you can ascend at full speed to the top of the beginners' area. The Trounquet's covered conveyor belt ensures you can enjoy the green slopes of Sapins to infinity, regardless of the weather conditions.
For the pros, demanding slopes to wish for
Pyrénées2vallées - Val Louron is much more than just a beginner's area. With its 6 red slopes and its very technical black slope, the resort guarantees a real challenge even for experienced riders. Over a length of 600 metres, rub shoulders with the very steep and unpacked slopes of the Isards black slope! This still wild space tests your riding skills. It is known to be one of the most difficult in the Pyrenees! A little easier to access, the blue Lapadé run promises you 3km of pure pleasure on the edge of the ski area, between panoramic views and tight bends. Looking for thrills? The Les Cimes freestyle area and its tables, jumps and other modules await you at the top of the resort at 2100m altitude.
Snowshoeing and hiking on the peaks of Louron
In Val Louron, enjoy exceptional snowshoeing rides. Alone or accompanied by a mountain guide, in 2 hours, 1 day or even several days, leave your mark on the white mantle and discover the bewitching landscapes of the Louron valley. Embark on a magical journey to discover the Pyrenean fauna and flora.
Many walks and hikes await you all year round at high altitude. With your shoes in the powder or on the lawn soon to be grazed, with your eyes turned towards the Pyrenean peaks, take one of the 20 trails available at all levels from the resort or the valley. For the whole family, enjoy a quiet stroll on the shores of Lake Génos-Loudenvielle. Great hikers will venture out on the demanding trails of the Col d'Azet or on the ridge to Lake Sarrouyes.
Thrills on the ground or in the air
The resort of Pyrénées2vallées - Val Louron is one of the most famous spots for paragliding and hang-gliding in the Pyrenees. For a first flight, a discovery course or a further training, write an unforgettable moment of your stay in the Pyrenees and take to the air on the slopes traditionally used during the summer months. Regardless of your takeoff altitude and orientation, you enjoy an exceptional view of the entire Louron valley and the village of Loudenvielle. You land in a unique place: a large open area on the shores of Lake Genos-Loudenvielle, below in the valley. Talented paragliders will be in the clouds at 4000m altitude to admire the 2 valleys and all the peaks of the Hautes-Pyrénées. In winter, experience new sensations with a paragliding takeoff with your skis on!
Go down the slopes of the Louron valley by mountain bike
Return to the solid ground and ride down the slopes of the Val Louron resort in summer, by mountain bike. The resort of Val Louron offers two easy mountain bike routes: start with a 3km descent on Le Tuco from the peaks of Sarrouyes to the resort. If your motivation is intact, continue to Le Nabias, which takes you into the valley to the village of Génos (6km). When you arrive, why not continue with a slightly more technical track? From Balnéa, the circuits of the Lake and the Neste du Louron take you to discover the villages of Loudervielle, Armenteule and Vielle-Louron as well as the lake of Avajan. If you are still not satisfied, the Louron Valley inaugurated the Skyvall cable car in the summer of 2019 to link Loudenvielle to the slopes of Peyragudes, another exceptional place for your mountain bike rides.
Magical hikes in the Louron valley
You can also enjoy hiking at the summit to discover the lakes overlooking the mountain resort of Val Louron: the lakes of Sarrouyes and Miares (via the blueberry chairlift). After all these sensations on the ground and in the air, go and relax in the valley. Baths, Jacuzzis and spas in thermal waters await you in Balnéa, a thermal centre on the shores of Lake Genos-Loudenvielle.
