Village situated on the flat valley floor at 770 metres above sea level. The village was destroyed by fire in 1630 and again in 1732. The village owns, in joint ownership with Guchan, the vast mountain pastures of Saux and Géla near the Aragnouet-Bielsa tunnel.

The parish church of Saint-Michel was built in the 16th century and is of Romanesque origin, particularly the south portal, which is now walled in. The west portal of the bell tower-porch dates from 1834.

The church has 2 vessels, nave and north aisle, vaulted with ogives. The nave ends in a polygonal apse.
