The Villages in the Aure and Louron valleys of Pyrénées2vallées / P2V

High place of pilgrimage

Bourisp, once essentially rural and agricultural, has become a holiday village in all seasons, as it is situated a few kilometres from the resort of Saint-Lary-Soulan. Watered by the impetuous Mousquère stream, a tributary of the Neste d'Aure, the route through its streets offers beautiful panoramas as well as the discovery of a very interesting and diverse heritage. During the summer holidays, discover the days of the reportage during which, the village is adorned with several hundred photographs of authors as varied as talented.

The 16th century church of Notre-Dame-de-Sescas has monumental paintings, the rarest and most famous of which depicts seven women, each riding an animal symbolising the deadly sins. You can also discover its fountains, its wash house and its animal shoeing machine.
