Located in the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Natura 2000 sites of the Aure and Louron valleys form an outstanding natural area dedicated to the conservation of Pyrenean habitats and emblematic species. These mountain valleys host an exceptional biodiversity, including mountain forests, high-altitude grasslands, wetlands, cliffs, and rivers, all essential for the survival of many protected species.
