The Villages in the Aure and Louron valleys of Pyrénées2vallées / P2V

Adjacent to Saint-Lary-Soulan in the Aure valley, Vignec, perched at an altitude of 820 m, is both peaceful and lively. Its geographical situation on the road to Pla d'Adet and Espiaube allows it to benefit from many passages and makes the site dynamic. The pretty village square offers a panoramic view of the valley and is also the starting point for hiking trails.

You will also find plenty of places to eat, drink and even play a game of mini-golf! But above all, don't forget to stop at the bottom of the village at the artisanal canning factory of the Porc Noir de Bigorre, a speciality not to be missed, an opportunity to talk with enthusiasts and to discover the inn and the products! Note that by staying in Vignec as in Saint-Lary, you can benefit from the Vignec-Saint-Lary-Soulan cable car in winter which takes you directly to the slopes!

The Saint-Jacques chapel, probably of Romanesque origin, was rebuilt at the beginning of the 16th century and then in the 19th century, many pilgrims come to discover it, it is on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. On the square, you can see the church of the same name, then opposite you will discover the pretty fountain and the Sarrailhet house which bear witness to the past.
