Saint-Lary-Soulan, a village for all your mountain desires...

Ideally located in the heart of the Aure Valley, Saint-Lary-Soulan has all the charm of the Pyrenees. This 4-season mountain village offers you many sports, cultural and family activities all year round. A favourite playground for cyclists, it is ideally located between the Portet and Azet passes, which are regularly used by the Tour de France. Saint-Lary-Soulan is also at the centre of a vast territory for mountain biking, which extends over the entire territory of the Pyrenees2vallées and as far as Spain with the "Zona Zero".

An authentic village in the heart of the Aure Valley

Located less than 20km from the border, the village and its stone and half-timbered facades breathe Pyrenean authenticity. The festive evenings in the village combine Iberian ambiences and the tradition of the Southwest for more conviviality! Always lively, the streets of Saint-Lary-Soulan and especially its main street (rue Vincent Mir, from the founder of the resort) offer many hotels, rental shops, shops and restaurants for all your desires. After a day of visits or sporting activities, go and recharge your batteries at the Sensoria wellness centre and its indoor canyon, fitness areas and individual treatments. The village is also a famous spa with cures in rheumatology or respiratory tract.

...combined with a high altitude ski resort, easily accessible

The village is also dominated by the resort of Saint-Lary at an altitude of 1700 metres. It benefits from a significant amount of snow all winter long and extends over 100km of ski slopes up to 2500m altitude. From December to April, enjoy snow activities for the whole family: beginner's area, kidpark and toboggan runs at Pla d'Adet 1700, snowpark, high-altitude restaurants, snow tubing, snowshoe trekking, speed-riding, snowmobiling and much more. The Pic Lumière and Vignec cable cars connect the village of Saint-Lary-Soulan to the station without taking your car: these two infrastructures limit the number of vehicles in circulation and thus reduce the village's carbon footprint.

Churches and nature reserves: a rich Pyrenean heritage

With the Maison du Patrimoine, the municipality of Saint-Lary-Soulan aims to preserve its Pyrenean heritage. In the heart of the village, this interpretation centre houses a museum dedicated to the cultural treasures of the Aure valley: a blend of tradition, authenticity and modernity. Discover the 12th century Romanesque chapel built in rough stone, completed by a Gothic chapel. The modern church in the centre of the village was built in 1950, replacing the old Romanesque church... which obstructed road traffic! This Saint-Bertrand church is resolutely bright and open, it invites all the curious to enter. If you go south after Saint-Lary, make a stop at the Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées in the Hachan tower, the only remains of a 16th century manor house. Come and discover the fauna and flora of the different natural environments of the Aure valley. Films on the natural heritage of the valley and the Pyrenees National Park are shown in the auditorium.
