Put on your ski skins in Peyragudes

Initiate yourself to cross-country skiing at the most magical times of the day. From dawn to dusk at 6am or 5pm, you have an appointment with the sun! When alpine skiers are in bed or at the café, go for 3 hours of hiking at high altitude. In the middle of the fir trees and steep slopes of a brilliant white, a professional guide will show you the peaks of the Louron valley. Breathe in the pure high mountain air in a rejuvenating physical effort.
The Peyragudes resort offers two other exceptional routes to be done without a guide. The marked itinerary of the Crête d'Aube takes you from the altiport of Peyragudes to the high altitude restaurant Le Cabanou at an altitude of 2000m. In this 1h10-long tour, you will discover a breathtaking view of the Peyragudes resort and the peaks of the Louron valley. The pleasure continues for the descent. Remove the skins and run down the slopes as you wish: you can choose between the green Grande Traverse piste and the red Val des Lumières piste!

On the other side of the resort, discover the Le Blois itinerary. Your ski tour starts in the village of Agudes, on the border between the Louron and Larboust valleys. This unique walk takes you through a wild forest and crosses the red slope of the Vallée Blanche. The arrival is at a shepherd's hut.

Ski tour in the forests near Piau-Engaly

The highest ski resort in the Pyrenees (1860m) welcomes you all winter long to practice ski touring in the upper Aure Valley. Its exceptional natural snow cover makes it an ideal place to learn or perfect this practice. To find the best ski touring trails, forget the ski area and go down just below the slopes, between the foot of the slopes and the Plan d'Aragnouet. You will find here a large forest area from 1500 to more than 2000m easily accessible from the road.

Enjoy exceptional ski tours in the Néouvielle National Nature Reserve, a magical setting overlooking the resorts of Piau-Engaly and Saint-Lary. We set the scene for you: a 360° view of the snow-covered peaks of the Aure Valley, splendid lakes with blue waters, a discreet but very present fauna. Very popular in summer, the Néouvielle reserve is a more intimate place in winter. The silence is only broken by the sliding of your skis on the powder snow. After a good day exploring the lakes, go warm up in one of the reserve's guarded shelters: Orédon, Glère, Oule... Sleep and regain your strength, you are in the ideal place between two stages of your ski tour in the Néouvielle reserve.
